BNM was incorporated in 1957 by Sydney Frish and Otto Ekstein. The company’s operations began with contracts to supply pharmaceuticals and hospital products to Australian State Health Departments.
Following an opportunity to supply to the Department of Health in Papua New Guinea in 1964, BNM expanded its presence to the South Pacific Island market. BNM has since established itself in the South Pacific Island region as a trusted supplier of high quality products. In the Australian and New Zealand pharmaceutical markets, early registrations of Primacin®, imipramine tables and tetracycline eye ointment, set a strong foundation for BNM to strategically develop its portfolio in a rapidly changing market.
In 2015, BNM was acquired by ADVANZ PHARMA, a global pharmaceutical company with an impressive heritage and experience in supplying over 90 countries with more than 200 medicines. As an ADVANZ PHARMA company, BNM strives to go beyond the fulfilment of orders for medicines and medical products, to be a trusted and respected partner.
